Slow start - AWE Tuning System

Folks,

I spoke in a previous thread about how the car starts very slow and was told it may be due to the audio system upgrade (dual Zapco 350.2 amps, 2 10" JL subwoofers, Alpine DVD system.)

The porsche dealer said it may be the started cable that needs to be replaced.

Any ideas?

Here's just a cold-start clip.

Thanks,

Nice sounding exhaust. Sounds like a tired battery to me.

Thanks guys. The dealer said it could be the battery, though the battery is only about a year old.

Any info on where to get a batter and if I should look for something specific given all the audio add-ons?

Thank you.

Yes, that's exactly what my car sounded like on start up until it ultimately failed last year. If your battery is only 1 year old then it should be under warranty. Most batteries have a warranty of 3-5 years. I bought mine at Autozone and from what I can remember it has a 4 year warranty with the first two years at full replacement.

Mine sounded exactly the same, so I replaced the original battery this past summer, ....my dealer suggested an Audi battery.... it was literally identical to the Porsche battery, just different logos..... about $100 less without the Porsche logo....
