There are lots of pics and videos of camouflaged next-gen 911's. Just google "porsche 998 spy photos". From what I can tell, it will look pretty much like the 997.

It's been my understanding that the "new 911" aka 991 will be introduced for Model Year 2011 which should mean that we can start to see them in 2010. Slip it a year if it will be a MY 12 car. It's coming, and they continue to keep the wraps on it in traditional Porsche fashion.

In discussions with a couple sales managers before I bought my MY09 C4S at the end of the summer, I was told it would be 2011 as a MY12.
It was indicated to me that 2010 was the Cayenne new intro and then the "new 911" the next year.

No matter what the speculation, rest assured that 6 - 12 months AFTER you buy your next Porsche, they will introduce something new.

Anyway, what's the proper designation? I see lots of folks say 991, yet even more say 998...

My guess, Frankfurt (Sept) 2011 will be the introduction for MY 2012, but maybe Geneva. However, it is hard to imagine that such an iconic car would be introduced at any lesser show than Frankfurt..and the next one is 2011.

so Trader, what's your take on the turbo s. I am thinking of putting a deposit down on a cab. I think this will be a great car and in limited production, hold the value more? I love the 997 design and the spy shots of the 991 leave some things to the imagination. Anyway, I was hoping to get your input on the turbo s and whether to order one or not and why! Thanks! BTW, I am thinking PTS blue!
