2 CD holders in glovebox?

2 CD holders in glovebox?
Hey guys - I'm just noticing I have what are 2 slim-style CD holders in the upper left area of my 2007 997's glovebox. I don't have the CD changer option installed, and I tried putting a couple music CDs in there to see if I could access them, but couldn't. Anyone know what these are for? I can take and post a pic if it would help any.

this way you can rotate among 3 CDs/DVDs, 2 in storage and one in the player. 3 disks with MP3 encoded music is an enormous amount of storage especially if DVDs are used...

DO NOT CLOSE THE GLOVE BOX IF EITHER IS NOT FULLY CLOSED, ask me how I know!!
It took a month for the replacement glove box to come in.
