VIDEO Walter Röhrl GT3 in Nurburgring
I have not seen this one before. Im sure some of you had.
Notice the upper right corner of the screen where it shows the exit speeds and Gs. Somewhere in the 4.5 min part, its awesome how fast he reels in a Ferrari and another 911. At the very end it shows him and the camera man.
Enjoy. Turn your volumes to full blast

Nice video thanks for sharing.
I can't believe the driver wasn't wearing a helmet while driving on that track any track for that matter. The passenger had more sense than he did.

Cool video!! Wondering are there any differences driving on the right side vs the left side of the car in such a high speed. Attacking the curve apex etc...This Walter guy have some cool hands... Is he famous?

Thanks for that, that was fun. I spent some time browsing other Walther R videos and saw some nice stuff on his preferences and personal cars. Turbo as a DD (lots of torque makes it easier to overtake others and he lives in snow country and needs 4 wheel drive) but prefers NA GT3 for the track (more precise) and has a 964RS "because it is fun and easy to slide".

Walter is the Chief Test Driver of Porsche. For a while he held the fastest lap in the Nurburgring on a production NA(naturaly aspirated) car, which was the GT3.
So that run was nothing to him thats why he wasnt wearing a helmet.
You want to see some serious heel to toe pedal work from him during his hay days.. check this out.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyVHj3sHVHQ

I've seen other videos with Röhrl driving Porsches on the Ring but this is the smoothest of all. This car is poised and balanced like no other 11 before. The 997.2 suspension/chassis changes, including the Carreras, are simply awesome.

Seriously, I don't know who Walter is. Now it make sense. Seeing him drive is so natural. That show you how much I know about porsche and its history. Learn something new everyday... Watch couple more of Walter's youtube video. He's good is an understatement. Wow, what a driver!!!
