I dislike the feel of the standard steering wheel in my C2. The steering wheel in my old 986S and the momo in the 968 race car feel much nicer. They are both thicker and have the sport "thumbs" and the alcantara/faux suede feels great.

I really like the alcantara GT3 steering wheel but the 997 version has the round airbag from the sport steering wheel as where I have the triangular airbag. Is the 996 GT3 alcantara steering an easy swap into the 997 C2 and is the triangular 997 airbag the same one that went into the 996/986 steering wheels?

Or should I just get a steering wheel cover or reupholster it to make it fuller?
