Make sure to hand wash it often, and only use super-soft materials to wash/dry etc. Also never run it through a machine wash.

Skip the bra. They make both you and your 100K p car look ridiculous.

People who clear bra their cars probably also have the clear vinyl sofa covers from the 1960s (or they should if they're consistent).

Here are some shots of a yellow LP640 with the entire front end covered. Shows how clear the product looks when all possible edges wrapped with a nice installation

Super work, Premier!

Wish you had a traveling installer to serve other parts of the country!

So what? From a distance you can't appreciate the dings either. When you get close enough both the dings without and paint fading with clear bra become more obvious. I've seen clear bras installed on a car up close and it ain't pretty. Personally if I ever bought a car with clear bra I would insist it be removed before delivery.

Your opinion noted. However, it sounds like you may have seen some bad installations or lower grade materials. We do not think it is fair to judge all because of what you may have seen

Below are close up shots of a black R8 under fluorescents. This is only to show there is a variance in quality of installations and material grade. We understand that there will always be critics, but we believe it be fair to not generalize to all. Thank you for your comments.

The customer with the R8 came to us with a fairly bad installation (not performed by us) and wanted it replaced. He had a partial install that had stretch marks, dust contamination, etc. Below are pictures of the film that was previously on the car

I would.

Here's an idea, ask the local high end car dealers who they use. Most will have a 3rd party installer come in and you can see their work at the dealership.

A good install will take a lot of time. Depending on your job maybe over a day. They have to pop out all the lights and wrap the film around the edge of the panels so there are no lines visible anywhere. Most of the job will involve custom cutting the film.

If you are going to the trouble of getting it done, don't get partial coverage. You will get chips halfway up the hood. Get full hood, full side fenders, mirrors, headlights. If you're really into it, you can get doors, side skirts, rear fenders, roof etc..

There are 2 major brands of film: 3M Scotchguard and VentureShield. 3M actually owns both brands. Scotchguard has an extra layer of protection that gives the film a slight orange peel texture. The film is more resilient to scuffing but on a flat color paint the surface texture is more noticeable. On metallic paints it's less noticeable until you are inches away. VentureShield is crystal clear, looks like there is nothing on the car, but it is a little less scuff resistant. If you want full hood coverage only VentureShield has big enough sheets to cover it. For headlights 3M has a transparent thicker (40 mil) film.

Like most things in life - everyone has an opinion.

Take them for what they are worth and make your own independent decision.

They key to a good result is an experinced installer.

Our team used to travel to various parts of the world for tours. However, over time, the traveling became too much stress.

I see that you are in LA. We also have a facility in Orange County. More info on our site:
