I was thinking of picking up a radar detector. I do not want to do the cord and visor routine, but would prefer to have a concealed system with front and rear units.
I have alot of experience installing these things over the years - but not with Porsche.
Anybody go this route and do it themselves?

for me, i went full bore with the radar/laser shifters. works great, not cheap but cheaper than the alternative.

I've got a kickass install on mine....I've always gone with K40 for that reason in the Porsche. V1's in other vehicles, but completely hidden system in the Porsche. I'll have more pics soon and can show a few lights, but not much else is visible!

Having been in the radar business for several decades, I would tell you that the stealthy installations are routinely done in such a way that compromises maximum detection range (ie., early response). They are hidden in places like grills and intakes, and these are the worst places to put a radar receiver antenna.
Line of sight is everything, and that means installing it as high on the car as possible. Everything winds up as a compromise. If you want high stealth, you compromise detection. If you want maximum early warning, you have to give up on some stealth.
Here is how I did mine: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...tallation.html
