I found what appeared to be a splattered bug on my hood. It came off easily doing the handwash as usual. But it left behind an ugly orange stain about 1 inch long.
I've tried bug and tar remover. I've tried Plexus. I've tried vinegar. And then I used an orbital buffer with Meguiar's plastic polish. Then I even tried Griot's #3 polish. I probably have a total of about 1/2 hour of machine polishing in that spot and the stain remains.![banghead](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/banghead.gif)
Anyone with solution out there?

Roadster Solutions sells a product for cleaning the rear plastic window of a convertible. Works well on headlamps too, so it might be worth a try. Its been several years since I did business with them (sold that car), so you'll have to google them to see if they're still around and offering the product.

my solution was pulling the side pieces off after 3 days when a bug made a permanent stain, i hate clearbra.. too porous and easier to get stuff off paint imo.

They have a significantly harder product that can protect your clear bra. You stick it over the clear bra to protect it. It's called PAINT. (sorry! I just had to!)
Seriously, I think the only product that might work is the plastic polish. Unfortunately, that stuff is very porous.

My installer has said that just leaving the car in the sun will bleach out stains eventually. I have gotten stains out by soaking a small piece of paper towel in Clorox Cleanup w/ Bleach and leaving it on top of the stain for a few minutes. When the stain is gone, just clean off the bleach and apply wax/protectant (I like Rejex). Seems to work fine with 3M film.
Another option: I've never tried this but Premier sells this stuff:
