Default 997.2 rough running cold?

We have some radical (people in the white house) temperature changes between day and night here. 85 in the afternoon and 38 at night.
First run in the morning runs really rough and then once in awhile I get a little backfire. You guys seen this?

i get a backfire when cold on the 1-->2 leaving my neigborhood.. then never again... cold for me is like 55/60* tho..

i figured its just more dense air, so puts in extra gas and cold engine something with exhaust doesnt read 100% and pop.

A car backfires because unburned fuel is getting to the muffler. The heat of the exhause system causes the fuel to combust, thus a backfire. (makes pop sound)

Are you getting a check engine light? Is the check engine light blinking? By “backfire” do you mean misfire? Do you hear this “backfire” or just feel it?

As most of you already know, the 997-2 is a completely different animal. It has DFI (direct fuel injection) which means it injects its fuel directly into the combustion chamber. It also means that it can inject fuel whenever it wants to and doesn’t have to wait for the intake stroke to do it.

What I am getting at here is the 997-2 with DFI has completely new fuel injectors and these fuel injectors are having problems that are causing misfire fault codes hence a check engine light.
