Arrow Under Body Pic's of 997 and front Drive Gear ?

I was at my dealership today and they are very tight on Warranty repair work,

I was wondering if someone could send me a pictures of the under body of 997.1 c4s Trip tonic as I was told I don't require the rear under cover with the Trip tonic and any idea of what a front Drive train would set you back?

Cheers

I wouldn't want to buy one. (Another reason not to have a 4WD--more to go wrong have potentially have to replace someday).

Here's the normal Carrera S underneath.

Thank you for the pic, your right more does go wrong with a 4.

I'm assuming yours is a manual as it has the last tray?

Any one with pictures showing the front drive gear on a C4?

Just for clarification, Dan's pics aren't completely "normal." That nice skid plate under the front fascia is not stock.

Did the X-51 Headers make any difference, I'm assuming that the rest is stock?

The X51 headers were cleaned up considerably before I installed them. Getting non turbulant flow now through them. The sound is all that much better.

The skidplate is available from Performance Products, as I recall. Do a search on Rennlist for skid plate and Edgy01 (as author) and the stuff is there--sorry I don't have the link off hand) But read my early comments about how to mount it.

Did you notice any power increase by installing the x51 Headers? Or was it more for sound?

The headers fatten up the midrange some and help a little with top end. The most performance you will get out of an exhaust will be with a set of 200cpi or less metallic cats. Headers by themselves don't add much..

I didn't add them for a performance gain. I did it because they appeared (to me) to be a better flow design. But that's just me. The older original S headers look fairly feeble.

Dave--I thought they would be quite similar. Just an access hatch. A very neat photo! Did the roof dent in much when you put it on it's top to shoot that shot? Just some scratches?

Ha ha. Actually, I had my wife take the picture from the road as I launched over a speed bump. This only works with Speed Yellow.

I found this that looks like Dan's, but says for Boxter:

http://www.automotion.com/product.as...dept%5Fid=4086

and for 997/others, which may be different than the photo for the actual 997 version...or not...?

http://www.automotion.com/product.as...dept%5Fid=4086

Looks like a good idea though as I already have a few scrapes like what can be seen on the screws on Dan's car where the blue bumper attaches to the black under-body.

This part is spec'd up to '08 though, so...?
