That rollup deal would be nice - I miss mine from BMW. But we're not in the list: http://www.autosunshades.net/car-chart.htm

I'm planning to order a rear carpet mat from Lloyds to cover the area back there just to keep the carpet from fading.

Got to love the archives.... I am in the market for a sunshade for my 06 S Cab and did a search. This is a great thread that answered all my questions. Thanks guys!

Just purchased the P-Tech 997 (OEM) sunshade via the web. Total process took me about 15 minutes from first search through the order.

Rennlist rocks.

just sharing i bought a sunshade for $2 and it was bigger, intentionally. I just cut it up to fit perfectly and resewed the edges total cost was $4 and it fits perfectly. you dont even have to pull down the sunvisors to keep it there as it fits so well around the windshield its locked by the edges hahaha. i even put a red porsche sticker on one side and that added to cost another $1. so for a total cost of $5 and the oem fit. i cant complain. unfortunately i seldom leave the car under the sun so not really used that much.

I used to use shields, but nano tint has gotten so good i prefer it and no longer use them. It also cuts the glare of tropical sun and heat when driving. Huper optik and llumar both make highly clear, heat rejecting films.

To update this thread, I bought the proper Covercraft custom fit sunshade for my car (997.2 coupe) and was displeased with the fit as it had about an inch on either side. Based upon this thread, I returned it and bought an OEM Porsche shade, hoping the fit would be better. I am here to tell you, for the 997 cars, it is EXACTLY the same except it costs more, has a Porsche logo on the front, and comes with a carrying bag with a Porsche logo on it. I measured both and they are exactly the same. It is also obvious that, although the Covercraft name has been taken off of the shade, it is made by Covercraft and is identical to their other offerings.

Quick Reply: OEM Sunshade?
