I'm planning to store my 997C4 cab in my garage, and am looking at the OEM indoor dust cover. However, I can imagine the day that car might wind up beinng stored outside, in which case I could buy the OEM outdoor cover now. Any cons re using the outdoor cover for indoor storage? Any pros or cons on these covers in general? Does the outdoor cover 'age' such that it deteriorates, even with indoor use? Thanks in advance.

I have had both. Currently, because I have a cabriolet, I have to use an outdoor cover,--they don't shed lint onto the top. The outdoor covers of today are quite light and serve their purpose. They hold up very well. I toss my in the washing machine periodically, and actually into the dryer as well, with very low heat.

Edgy, what kind of outdoor cover do you have? I have a 4-year old custom NOAH cover I originally used on my 996 which seems to be breaking down (lint on cab cover) and I'm thinking about getting a new one.
