So, here's something a bit different... I recently was hired to do some driving for a film shoot. I've done some other paid driving events in the past but this is the first one where I was asked to use MY car. Anyway, National Geographic Explorer is filming their 2010 series with host Dr. Phillip Manning from England. He wanted to demonstrate the various forces on matter in a linear accelerator, centrifuge, etc. Basically, nuclear physics. He thought a high performance car emulating those forces would be an easy to understand demonstration.
We spent about half a day with the film crew, doing skid pad, slalom and 0-80-0 runs in a straight line. We had cameras and mics in the car and several outside the car. It was all filmed in HD. Dr. Manning (in the blue shirt) is a great guy and auto enthusiast who seemed to enjoy the rides. He's a friend of Jeremie Clarkson (Top Gear) and has that same sense of humor as you'll see in the show... The show airs in May, 2010 so I'll post an update when the date is set. Should be fun to see how much of the driving actually ends up in the program.

Who cares about the wheels? I care about a 911 recognized as the right tool for a Physics experiment. Way to go! Well done and congratulations!

Thankfully, it doesn't glow in the dark now. I have enough trouble flying under the Highway Patrol radar.
