Very cool....and another Porsche AND Mini owner here as well. Bought my '08 MCS last summer (ordered, waited about 5 weeks). Absolutely high fun factor (6sp, coupe, well optioned). Buy it and enjoy....as we Mini folks say, Motor On!

You can find me on the Mini board as well (North American Motoring).

Glad to be joining the club. Irene already found that forum! OMG, am I going to become a car forum widower myself?
I'm excited to see the car and I'm psyched to have a convertible in the family (I never take the hard top off the Boxster any more).

Dr.

I do not have one but think that the Clubman would do. However, it lacks the utility, size/safety of a conventional SUV. What about a BMW X3/X5?

but, it is not FUN! I have my car, which I love, and I want another fun car. any event, I am selling my Gx. i don't need it for dog hauling anymore. My dogs stay home now and I have a petsitter that comes to the house. I feel I am wasting good money on a vehicle that I don't use. I am planning on selling it back to the Lexus dealer. They sell all of the used GX's they can get their hands on. and i may just wait, I would to drive my 09 C2s everyday! That's what i bought if for! And, if necessary, the 2 Bernese mountain dogs can ride in it!

Dave we had a 06 that I bought used for about 6 months that I thought was a blast to drive. The only negative was that the a/c was kinda of weak for South Texas in the summer.

What I really want to know is how do you like your featherlite trailer? How is it to load with a really low car? How long is yours? I need a trailer but am undecided on on open or enclosed.

I'm not picking up the trailer until this weekend. The previous owner towed a 6-GT3 with it. He made extra ramps that mate with the Featherlite ramps to make the incline even more gradual. You can see the two diamond plate ramps on the side of the trailer in the pic above.
I would have gone with an enclosed set up if I felt that my land would accommodate one. I suppose they have their own headaches as well. I am going to use the Featherlite at our season closing DE on Oct 10-12 at NHMS. I'll report more then.

We picked up the car this afternoon from Mini of Peabody. My wife Irene is very excited as am I. The Laser Blue is really beautiful. Everything in the car seems to be fine despite the JD Power bad quality rating!!!!!!!
There was no light left for pics so I snapped the pic below as she pulled her new baby into the garage for the first time. Yes,....the Cayenne be sleepin' outside tonight.
The black wheels that we opted for are very cool.
I haven't driven it yet. Sunday is supposed to be back over 60 and sunny here so we may do a little convertible down action.
One thing that I thought was really very "Mini" is that there are different colors that you can select for the inside ambiance lighting. Naturally we selected blue.

Looks like a barrel of fun Dave. I'm sure it will provide lots of delights. BTW, how many times have you walked into that grass catcher hanging on your wall?

Looks nice Dave. Bet she'll have fun driving it.

When you get a chance be sure to take some interior shots. Would like to see how the new interior looks.
