My 2005 C2 has very stiff shifter move from park into Reverse and Drive. I almost have to fight it. Transmission shifts are very normal as I drive on.

Please advise what could be wrong.

Not normal. Difficult gear changes are a problem that manual Porsche's have had for years. The tip (with few exceptions) has been a near flawless implementation.

Can't tell you what, exactly, is wrong only that you need to get it looked into before it devolves into a more expensive fix.
