OG, I noticed the steering feel difference the most at the track. On the streets not so much. Sebring is a bumpy track and in turn 17 and 1 I could definitly feel the bumps in the concrete twitch the steering wheels more on the .1 than I can on the .2

It sounds to me that Porsche has removed some of that raw connection in favor of some refinement.

Basically to me that does seem to be what they did. It does not surprise me at all from reading comments on these forums and from talking to a few service advisors at the dealer about how the consumer buys a Porsche sports car but then turns around and complains about the ride quality...or....the one that gets me the most....is....the people that say PDK upshifts to hard when in Sport mode....WHAT THE F***???????

Originally, I was looking for a 993 as my weekend driver and was concerned that the 997.1 was going to be too refined. Actually, I am enjoying my 997 ( still breaking it in). I think that there are many buyers that see the price tag for a 911 and expect luxury, smooth, quiet powertrains, etc. This is not a Lexus, folks!
