My 997.2 C4S MY 2010 came in last week and will be ready for pick up on Monday. I ran the engine for a minute and was not disappointed at all by the exhaust sound. Will this sound change over time? I'll put 20K miles per year on it.

You'll notice that at cold start ups the exhaust sound is louder
After a minute or so, revs drop and so does the exhaust sound
I have a Sharkwerks bypass pipe and I am very happy with it. Easy mod, wallet friendly, doesn't void your warranty and gives you 10 HP/TQ or so![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I suggest you drive the car first about 2 weeks and get familiar with it, until then you'll be able to draw a conclusion if the stock exhaust sound is enough or not...

When it comes to high-performance vehicles I usually am happy with the stock exhaust for the first few weeks, then I get used to it and want something more aggressive.

I think the stock engine sounds good, but I did end up retro-fitting the PSE. The sound is noticeably deeper.

I never mod a car, but I want to mod this one! I want the sharkwerks or fvd or tubi....I guess the growl of the M6 left a lasting impression on me. Now, which one to get????

I know how you feel and that's why I have a cab now. I have absolutely no regrets. If you can afford it and not break the bank as the result, then get what you want...that's how I see it. Life is too short.
Thanks for the compliment. I love the black Sport Design rims and the SY combo.
I'll shoot you an email or PM later regarding the x-pipe. You're gonna love that sound, especially with the top down!!!
