Can you determine S or C4 by VIN?

Searching for a C4S but am frustrated by the total lack of competence in dealers / sellers. Most will list the VIN, but few ever get the model type right! Is it possible to tell by the VIN # if the car is an S or C4 or C4S?

Type in your VIN and it will give you all the information there is to know about it.

Thanks for the VIN decoder. It appears I can only get S vs. non-S out of the VIN number. Any other visual clues to the C4 other than slightly wider rear fenders (impossible to notices in pictures)? I was at the factory in late '05 watching them being built but wasn't looking for a C4 at the time.
I'm just window shopping unless the perfect car / price comes along. Otherwise, my target is to be in a '06-'07 C4S for summer...economy willing. Trying to keep track of cars available and what they are going for.
