Porsche marketing seems to be confused about the early RS and the current versions.

 

Even after all these years, the RS still looks as good as ever.

 

The side by side shot is to amplify the wheels and whale tail. Nothing more.

 

What a beautiful Limited Edition model. Love the Fuch Wheels. When the replica fuchs come out, I'm in line!

Nice wheels. Nice color. Interesting roof. Having never been a fan of the duck tail from the day it was introduced -- I am, thankfully, not tempted.

 

$241,000 per Autoweek! That's total insanity. Why would anyone want this over an RS?

I do love the color and wheels. Interior is very cool.

They should make this the 998 S and be done with it.

Duck tail is cool; next they really need to bring back the Whale tail!

 

OK, I'll say it. WTF is that roof about? I love the duck tail but that roof is hard to get around. Bizarre.

 

Forget the RS, at some price point Porsche enthusiasts need to consider other options, like Ferrari.
When I bought my Turbo, that was the highest price I would pay for a Porsche, beyond that I'm going to have an "F" in front of my car model.
