A really beautiful car at a less than attractive price.
The wheels retro-Fuchs look - very cool. Color a nice combo of old and new.
This is a very well-thought-out car. But, the cost! Plus, what's the "resale" on a car like that?

But the price is crazy IMHO.
Stunning wheels! The dealers will be taking calls from people wanting them thing is I doubt they will sell them stand alone.

Nice, but now's not the time to fall into the inflated price Special Edition trap. SE's are pure profit for companies, and often have terrible resales value, especially in today's economy.
I would much rather walk into a dealer with a 2010 GT3 sitting in the showroom, pay list or less, and get a better car with a much better resale value.
As for the wheels, I would expect Porsche to put them on Cayman's in the future, just like they've done with the Turbo wheels.

Make mine Guards Red, and take the top off, and drop the price 100k. I'm in.

At 80-90K I'm sure there would be quite a few buyers beyond 250, but then again the standard Carrera would start around 40K according to that price hierarchy. I'd like to get the PCCBs, power kit w/ PSE, custom Fuchs style wheels, and a custom leather interior for free as much as the next guy. Porsche is charging a super premium for this car, and obviously they don't think the US market has whatever they consider is essential for ownership (money/taste/interest??), except maybe Jerry Seinfeld. The Porsche production track cars (GT3/RS) are terrific, but not the whole Porsche world or experience.

Porsche are geniuses with marketing. They know there is a market of RWD 911 owners who want the 4 widebody but don't want the AWD. So they make RWD widebody's but only on the most expensive models. GT3RS, GT2 and now this. The car looks amazing, I'd love to have one but at 200K, I'm not losing too much sleep over it.
