I think 90% of US buyers would like to see Porsche go to a little more trouble with the bumperettes design (to delete them.)

Your car has me wondering what the "Cup" mirrors (snugged into the window frame) would look like on a Cabrio.

By the way "denatured" alcohol (any hardware store) will get rid of those unsightly yellow airbag notices on the sun visors.
i need to try that, so the denatured alcohol doesnt fade/discolor the vinyl at all?

While I, too, appreciate the look of the rear bumper sans bumperettes, your first negative encounter back there with an obstruction will make you rethink that.

For removing the decals, I used a variety of different products,--but I suspect it would be very different from mine, which are leather.

Agree that the day I hit something, I'll probably be a bit of an unhappy camper. In the meantime, hopefully the Park Assist I have on my car will keep me out of trouble.

vinyl?
I imagine alcohol dissolves vinyl!
But applied sparingly to the hard plastic mirror cover on the sun visor, it strips away the yellow airbag notice.

Agree on the bumperettes and what most of us think of them. Porsche probably isn't a fan of them either as you can see in the three pic's you posted above from Porsche, they deleted them from those pic's.

FWIW, my car is also lowered 15mm and I've got a RSS Plenum installed. I've got the full AWE exhaust sitting in my garage right now and will probaby install the mufflers and headers on in the next month or so (will probably hold off on installing the cats until my warranty expires in two more years).

So any thoughts on what wheels you are going with yet? Can't wait to see pic's. Love the color of your car.
Wheels for my car? Hard to say. I'm going to swap the factory default wheels for the Sport Design wheel (that's the third wheel in the configurator pics I posted, the 15 spoke design.) This will become my snow tire wheel. The road wheel will be something that says "I know what I'm doing with 911 wheels" like the HRE P40 or Champion RG5 or one of their newer, more edgy designs (the names of which, I don't have memorized ...) Wheels that I would choose for the GT3 are too much for the Cab, especially in its color scheme, but I was thinking of 997.1 RS take-offs in silver or maybe painted centers in a suitable grey. Several other companies like O.Z. have the best designs combined with strength, weight and durability. Hard to say.

Just my opinion but I like the look of a mesh type wheel like the HRE P40's for any Cab and all widebody 997 coupes (such as a C4/C4S/Turbo). For narrowbody coupes (including the GT3), I like the look of the multi-spokes such as HRE P43's, Champion RS171's, and the O.Z. Ultraleggera HLT's.

For the price, you really can't go wrong with the O.Z.'s as they are a tremendous value from TireRack. I know they are cast wheels but they are still pretty light and O.Z. as a good reputation.

my notice is on the underside where it is vinyl not leather... the plastic part doesnt have anything on mine.. and if it did wouldnt bother me as its against the headliner.

P40s have caught my eye, and I've owned 2 sets of Champions before - they are awesome!

Looks great as is - I vote leave it alone.

Airbag Warning Decal removal - on Renntech (for members), there's a great DIY with pics of the process in action - using Rubbing (Isopropyl) Alcohol - get it at the drug store or grocery.
