Default Executive Car..

Had a question and I probably know the answer but when a dealer lists a 911 as an executive car with very low miles and as untitled is it..
A Bosses wifes car
B Bosses personal car
C Demonstator that every Tom, Dick, and Harry has run the living devil out of it!

Thanks for your help.

I have seen them use the term "executive" car to sell PDE cars (and when the deal is done and they finish up the paperwork they shove a waiver and release in front of you).

exec cars and PDE cars are two different things. Most times the exec cars are used by regional people from PCNA who log a lot of miles heading out to the dealers in their region. Presenting a PDE car as an exec demo is pretty risky from a dealers stand point PCNA would be pissed.

The exec cars are really good buys, really the PDE cars are too. We just sold two 2007 Carrera S's with PCCB brakes and a lot of other nice options with about 12k on them for peanuts. We got em from PCNA they were PDE cars.

There is no waiver needed for an exec or a pde car.

PDE is Porsche Driving Experience. It's where you get to trash Porsches owned by PCNA on the track.

I've owned 2 Exec cars. An M5 (driven by Tom Purvis - CEO BMW NA), and a Cayenne. I think the "execs" know not to abuse the cars. You can get a good deal.

Thanks guys..didn't know if a dealer could just throw the exec car word around for a demonstrator they had on hand for a year or two or if indeed it had to be an exec car? Thanks for the input. Haven't had a 911 for a long time and looking to get back into the fold.

Actually the exec cars and the dealer demo cars are "punched" differently in the Porsche system so technically you can ask how it was punched and know for sure. That BS about a "waiver" is off the charts LOL

I think that might be a a blanket statement. I used to work as a factory rep years ago. There are cars that aren't take care of the way the owner would. Maybe these aren't abused, but reps know the cars are going to replaced after they log miles. TLC might not be their first priority.

I inquired to a dealer about a car that turns out is an "executive car". they CPO'd it and replaced all 4 tires at 8000 miles. Those must have been some pretty hard driven 8000 miles to burn through a set of tires.

Not necessrily. IIRC, to CPO a car it has to have N rated ties with no less than 50% of their tread left. It'd be hard to CPO a 911 with that many miles without replacing the rubber.

FWIW, I leased an executive car back in '09. It was a launch car for the 997.2 S PDK - Porsche Racing Green, etc. It was listed for about $30K off MSRP and had about 900 miles on it. It was a smoking deal - at a point when the dealers were dying. It was a really nice car in great shape. I really couldn't find anything at all that didn't look or sound brand new. Technically, it wasn't even broken in yet.
