I just had a Morgan 4/4 transported from Naples, Florida to Pittsburgh, PA by High End Auto Transport. They were professional, timely, had great communication and were the least expensive enclosed transport I could find. In the past, I have used Road Scholar and have had great success with them as well.

B line, I used Intercitylines in the height of the gas prices and its way less than $2500 from CA to VA (Coast to Coast). The most meticulous (inspecting the 997S before transport) crew. So I kenw then that they'll take care of the car. They also put 2 blanket covers and then a plastic cover on the car. Made it here day ahead of sched.

Good luck.

$2500 does seem awful high. Were you requesting anything fancy (other than enclosed)? I can't imagine what would make it so expensive. Anyway, A-1 Auto Transport is my favorite when it comes to long distance shippers and I've used them a couple times over the years. The biggest thing for me is to have a local office where I can call or go in person if any issues arose. Since they have offices in most major metro areas, it was an easy choice.
