Default octane nr.

In Europe we have a gasoline choice between 95 and 98. The money difference really adds up with aprox. 20.000 miles per year. Any harm in taking Euro super 95? Sorry I should have added we are talking a 997.2 CS4 MY 2010

No harm at all. ECU will adjust to lower octane if any knock is detected. You may lose a little power but you will get that back if you ever return to a higher octane fuel.

Some of the cost will be offset with getting better mileage using 98 RON. Would be interesting to do a test to compare. In this country the 98 also is advertised to have additives to keep the engine clean, which I think may be useful with a DI engine.

Best we can get in Kalifornia is 91 octane...unless you want to pay mebucks for racing fuel 100 octane. Only thing I do not know if there is a difference in octane rating US vs Europe.
