Price opinion on 2005 997 Cabriolet S with 13K miles
Hello fellow Porsche members,
Just wanted to get your thoughts on price for a 2005 997 Cabriolet S with 13K miles.
Options:
Navagition
Sport Seats
Chrono package
19" wheels
gray on black interior
1 owner
Very good condition.
Is $56K or $57K sounds like a good deal? This is from a dealer car.
I have been looking at C2S/C4S 993 with aero package/sport seats, 993 turbo, 996 turbo and now 997s (non-turbo). I sold my E46 M3 convertible and my 993 C4S, I figured this car would be a nice combination from my previous cars.
Thanks in advance.

Seems high to me. I just picked up an 06 C2S Cab equipped as follows:
Black
Black Full Leather
Carbon Package Switch Panel
Power Seat Package
Instrument Dials in Black
Self Dimming Mirrors
Heated Front Seats
19" Carrera Classic Wheel
Carbon Str Whl Multifctn
Chrono Package Plus
Electronic Logbook
Module for Telephone PCM
Handset for Telephone Module
Navigation for PCM
Bose High End Sound Package
Remote CD Changer (6 Disc)
Carbon Package
Supple Leather Front and Rear
Black Mats - Porsche lettering
Sport Shifter
Sport Exhaust System
Porsche Crest in Headrest
Door Finisher in Carbon
Carbon Door Sill Mdl Insignia
Car had $8,500 of carbon on it (still amazes me), and the car had 5,500 miles on it, of course a CPO too. Its basically a brand new car.
Good luck!

The other thing is to not necessarily be confined to around where you live. There are definatly some killer deals out there, but you might have to be willing to buy it and ship it or drive it home (which is what I did). I missed out on a beautiful C4S Cab with lots of options and 15k miles, with CPO for $58,000.
I also know of a white nicely optioned 06 997 S Cab that is white with a hard top as well, for $58,000 in Denver. PM me if you want info. I believe that one has a CPO too. Goodluck!

Also some dealers are doing much better than others at moving new & used cars, so if this applies in your case then it may not be a bad price. Like others said, what's nice is that it really is a nationwide search when you're looking at spending these amounts. You can always politely ask if a Rennlister in another area will go take a peek at the car for you too.

Here's what you stated:

Very good condition.
Gray on black is very common,--nothing special there about affecting the price. From your area (Washington state) it's clearly a VERY fair weather car,--with way too few miles on it. Be prepared to spend some money on things that will die on the car that the one owner never got to discovering.
19 inch wheels are standard on the S models. Nothing special there.
Navigation added about $2200 to the car. The sport seats a bit as well.
Any leather?
It's a pretty basic car from your description.
I would suggest that you wait until October to make an offer,--when Autumn sets in and cabriolets in that area drop in price.

Thanks for the inputs! Much appreciated. I am a newbie to Porsche, so I don't know much about options.
From "Wiggy"'s list, I see it has:
Porsche crest on the headrest
power seats
Porsche mats
(assume it has CD changer)
Carrera classic wheels
Instrument dial in white
How can I tell if it has full leather? sport exhaust? eletronic logbook?
Not CPO car as it is not a Porsche dealer.
As you know, living in the NW, there is not much good, warm days, so I was hoping to purchase soon. But if I have to wait until October, then I might as well as wait until next March or April. Probably the depreciation will catch up with the car if I buy it now.
I know you guys know what is a good deal out there. As always, I really appreciate your inputs!!!!

You can tell full leather by the stitching down each side of the center switch panel, amongst other things
Sport exhaust has four outlets with the outer two being of a larger diameter than the inner two.
Electonic logbook, dunno.

Sorry, just noticed there is about $1,145 in exclusive options. One of them is a sport shifter. I noticed the Porsche crest on the seats and white gauges.

That's a SHORT shifter. The A.S.S. seats are the best seats,--fully adjustable.
Parking assist is seen my the sensors in the rear bumper cover.
Electronic logbooks are rarely ordered, accessible via the infrared port found on all the PCMs.
