That line joining the inner and outer calipers are joining them at the bottom only. Fluid comes in at the middle of the inner caliper (in terms of height). So if you draw fluid only from the outer caliper, you will flush the outer completely but only the bottom half of the inner caliper so it won't be complete. Besides, if you have air trapped at the upper half of the inner caliper, the only way to bleed the air out is via the inner bleed valve.

So I would recommend bleeding both the inner and outer bleeders like the OP did, which was perfect. HTH.

Assuming the reservoir is full with new fluid to start, what is the correct volume to bleed the RR caliper first? 250m? And the LR caliper, 150mL?

EDIT:

The capacity of the brake fluid system is about 1L. So one needs to remove 1L of old fluid and add 1L of fresh fluid.

The dosimetry used in this process is critical. The following applies to a 977.2 PDK car and note that a manual car may have a larger volume reservoir.

I found a good outcome with the following procedure:

* Remove 250mL of old fluid from the reservoir. Add new fluid (250mL) to the reservoir.
* Remove 300mL from the RR caliper.
* Remove 200mL from LR caliper
* Remove 125mL RF caliper
* Remove 125ml LF caliper.

During this process monitor the reservoir volume and keep adding new fluid.
