Default Changing rear brakes pads. Should I...

Planning to change my rear brake pads. SHould I change the parking brake shoe too? The pads are easy to change, assuming the procedures are the same for the front. For the parking brake shoe, looks like I have to take the rotor out. Anybody here ever changed the shoes? Insights?? TIA

Also, any recommendation for aftermarket rotors? Would like to tackle it too. Vented or not? Drilled? for both front and rear.. Every time I bring my car into the shop, they alway say "The rotor are out of spec and needed to be change. That will be $1200 please" and that's is with a smile. Tired of being gouge by the dealers. $800 for 40,000 miles tune up. That's only oil, filters and safety ck. $800 bucks!!!

Unless you are using your parking brake to spin the car ala the dukes of Hazzard, those should last the life of your car.
