Bumber plug for tow hook, how to remove?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey guys, I need some help! I'm planning to order a front license plate holder that mounts into the front tow hook threading. It would be nice to keep in the trunk if I get stopped or if I need it for a "fix it" ticket. I have been trying to remove the bumper plug with absolutely no luck! The manual says to push on the bottom of it to dislodge it. I tried that, it doesn't seem to do much? I tried using a safely pin, tweezers and anything else super thin to wedge in the tiny space to get this plug loose. I'm trying to prevent scratching the area, so I'm being quite gentle during this process.
Can anybody help me out with this? Any tricks to removing this plug?
I appreciate the help guys, thanks in advance!

I used my thumb to apply a lbit of force to push in the bottom of the plug when I installed the moweraxle.com tow hook mounting bracket. There was a lip on the plug that held the plug in place.
Edgy's front license plate mounting solution looked like the nicest, but it appeared to be more work than I wanted to undertake. The tow hook took me 5 mins to install.
Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback SY-997, I appreciate it! I also plan on buying one of the moweraxle brackets, seems like the easiest option. When you applied a little force with your thumb to the bottom of plug, the lip basically came loose and you were able to remove it? I feel like I'm applying a reasonable amount of force with my thumb and it's not coming loose? I obviously don't want to break the plug, so I'm worried about pushing too hard!

Why are you guys preferring the moweraxle bracket to JCS' bracket?
