Default The joy of Owning a Porsche

My car is 2.5 years old. It is midnight blue and presently has swirl marks in the paint. In fact, even though I ordered it, the dealer washed it with a dirty water before delivery - which caused swirl marks. So I have never not had swirl marks.

Although I have waxed it a few times, I never have really polished the paint up good. I bought one of these and hope to really get all of my swirl marks out and get my car looking better than when I first got it.

Although I am scared to try out my polisher on my 997 first, I am going to do a couple of daily drivers first. I am not going to kill myself polishing cars, so it may be a couple of weeks before I can get to the 997.

I hope to post some before and after shots.

Here is my new polishing equipment.

The only thing better than owning a Porsche is driving a Porsche ...

I also have the Griots polisher as well. It does work well with minor swirl. Post some before and after pics for us. Enjoy your new toys.

Consider using a monkey tail as well.

A "monkey tail" in the nonstandard use of the word describes the covering to the last few feet of the cord to your car paint buffer. It's designed to keep the cord you are dragging across your paint job from marring the paint.
