yup three sets in 22K miles although a DD, I have a pretty aggressive alignment set-up. Anyway, looks like I'll be trying the "stones" just can't spend the cash on the four-tire set of ps2's.....$1800 mounted and balanced...youch!

Cole, give me a buzz and we'll chat on it. Overall most have confirmed what we also find overall - as time goes on most agree the PS2's rock, but not so much they are worth the additional cost unless you are really planning to push the car hard. When asked to perform, they will. But really for most people the performance of the BS is more than enough.

I am thinking that they are my favorite street tire. I recommend you check them out on TireRack. (no affiliation)
What oh my you put Bridgestone RE11's on none other than a GT3....non Porsche N spec itres!!!!....WOW...the sky is falling, and your GT3 will turn into a Prius!

When my PS2's wear out I will eithe rbe going with the RE11 or RE050A for my street tires.

I put on the Bridgestones after 2 sets of PS2s. They are quieter and half the price of the PS2s and are quieter and smoother over expansion joints.

I'd buy them again over the Michelins.

last month got the Potenza RE960AS Pole Position for my 997.1S...wear rating 400AA vs 220 for ps2, 280aa for re050 etc..also new ultra high performance all season .great in rain...tire rack reviews are great for porsches and quiet...would predict almost twice wear and almost HALF the price of ps2's..love these tires so far.. i track my car a lot (separate track tires) and drive easy on the street so don't need that extra little traction the ps2's may give on the street..but i have owned many a set of ps2's, great tires too but get really loud fast and wear like butter...if i want loud tires i put my R888's on and go to the track....check out the tire rack reviews and and save yourself some cash...

Sounds about right to me and my alignment's exactly how it ought to be.

Me too!

I did the full set of RE050A's at that time they were N0, now I think they are up to N1.

Really great tires! I even increased the rears from 295's to 305's which look and drive better.

I had the Rosso's, buut as tey got to EOL, they got really noisy.

Also, T/R kept showing the RE050A's backordered and had to obtain them via dealer, which got then via Tire Rack due to PCNA agreement and paid T/R price. $330 vs $550 for PS/2's is a big difference!

Hey Damon... how's the PZero system for our cars? Specially for a C4/C4S?

What car did they test on? BMW's? Very neutral car. You can't really draw any conclusions in comparison to an *** heavy car like a rear engine Porsche.

Cole,

The Bridgetones 050 have threadwear indicator of only 140 vs MPS2 or PZero's of 220. Meaning the latters will last longer. (Contis 3 are 280)

I personnaly like MPS2s.

yeah I noticed that as well. Hard to imagine that a tire could wear out faster than the Pirelli's. That really is kind of reverse marketing, as the "stones" are about 2/3 the price of the Michelin's, however, it would appear that they have only 60% of the expected tread life. So, comparing apples to apples, perhaps the MIchelin's are not that expensive after all. Hmm....I need to call Damon

No. You can't compare treadwear ratings between different manufacturers. You have to compare within the same brand.

I have 14K miles on the Pirellis now, and they should go another 2K if I can stand the noise that long.
I though so too. See my thread about blowing a rear tire @ 16k miles... Take a REAL good look at the inside tread!
