I would suggest not using a car wash if you are into keeping your paint nice.

Detailing Dynamics, Mineola...a bit of a hike, but either that or wash it yourself if you care about the finish.

1+

They are one of the best east coast detailers and have access to paint film as well. Go and look at their website.

Avoid tunnel washes, Porsche paint is too soft for any tunnel wash and you'll end up with more swirls than you can believe!

use Gloss-it.com stuff and do it yourself or go to the detailing concours forum here or on 6 speed detailing forum, find and hire a pro to come do it for you for about $500. Otherwise as the others have said your
car is going to be trashed in a couple of washes.

Thanks for the tips but my car is parked in my building where the valet puts it somewhere down in the garage so it’s a bit hard for me to do it myself. I don’t want to spend a lot of money either on some pro so what are my options? Maybe I should rephrase my question and ask for a place where I can handwash my car myself.

You are right about the valet but I live in an area where non-valet parking is not available in a 10 mile radius.

We are talking about Manhattan here people - garages there are full of high dollar cars, S Classes are like Hondas.

I wish I could help you because I found out about the product line from a pro in New Jersey.
THe $500 is a COMPLETE detail wash wax paint correction if you need it. Maybe for the normal
wash you can get away with a pro who comes buy twice a month and just washes it for a nominal fee.
You cant find parking with in 10 miles and I live 90 miles from the closest costco in Southern Californias Mojave Desert. All we have is space.

I totally understand your situation cause I used to live in NYC and for years had to pay $560/mo to have my car housed in a building's underground parking garage where valets would bring my car up for me (AND you have to call them 1 hour in advance of picking up your car so that they can move the 10 other cars parked in front of your car to get your car out). It's against the garage's policy to have you work on your car or wash it in their garage, so you have to find a decent car wash place.

I always brought my car to a hand car wash place right across the Lincoln Tunnel (to the Jersey side) on River Road (facing NYC). They charge like $10 bucks for a hand car wash and vacuum inside. Never had any problems with them. The address is:

7205 River Rd, North Bergen, NJ‎
