Default Launch PDK C4S available.

Hey guys,
I had a deal fall through with a very good friend for another GT3. In my frustration I called my local dealer which is 100 miles away to ask about new inventory on the PDK cars. I drove the new
PDK C2S and SAW the new PDK C4S launch car with the carbon GT2 seats about a month ago. The motivation for selling the PDK C4S was VERY High.

So I called asked him this afternoon what was the deal. It was in fact one of the best deals I have ever seen for any new 911 at a dealer.
If youre looking for a C4S PDK car with that package (Launch package) PM me and I will send you his way. Its the Meteor Grey car at $113 MSRP, so if you know that car you know the option list too. If you were looking for that car I feel this is the deal for you. Please PM me for info. It was just a tad out side of my budget.

Regards everyone.

I love the way the seats look. I had GT3 seats in my 996 GT3 and they became a pain for everyday driveing mostly because they would not fold. These do and are works of Carbon Art. I just dont know what they are like day to day and a recent Back surgery patient, I felt they were beyond what I might endure on longer drives.
It is well under what Edmunds said people are/were paying.

Thumbs up

The nice thing about the Cab launch cars is that they don't have these seats - and good deals are to be had on them as well.

I've noticed that some of the C4S launch cars have the power comfort seats. One at my dealer does anyway. Other than that, they are optioned the same.

I had always assumed the carbon GT2 seats were very expensive and very desirable...

They are desirable by some but not by all. PCNA optioned a bunch of launch cars with them and those cars have not sold.

After my back surgery I balked at the New seats after having the fixed seats in my 996 GT3.
But talk about works of ART!!!
But LTC is right in my GT3 crowd the GT2 seats are very desirable.
When i was configuring a 997.2 car I always put the seats on the configuarator.
They arent too bad like a $3k option unlike PCCBs

IIRC, they have been priced at $7K+ if purchased from Porsche parts (Sunset, Suncoast, et.. al).

I would imagine someone could buy the car, sell/swap the seats rather easily.

I have a C4S launch car and I love it! I'm a pretty thick dude and I even fit in the seats, so the comfort I think is more a "it looks uncomfortable" than reality... I'll give you feedback when I drive cross-country with my wife in it for the Monterey week.

Paul - I don't think I want to know about the deal - I might have to cry myself to sleep tonight!

Chris I wont tell you then.

LTC I think youre right but on the car the option is like 3-4K, the best way to get them I think.

The seats are $3,125 as an option.

From Suncoast they're $6,695, or you can get the Euro GT3 seats for $12,995.

It'd be easy to swap them out for normal seats.

BTW we have a launch C4S w/a great price too

it's interesting...I have approached several dealers about swapping out the P03 sports buckets with either the stock or sports seats in one of their '09 Cayman S cars. Not one dealer has expressed interest despite not being able to move the launch 4s because of them.
Rob, I believe your shop was one of them.

The problem, I believe, is the configuration of the car. Example: If the car doesn't have power seats or heated seats (as in Sports seats) it is impossible to add them (bus limitation?). This makes the swap less than optimal; had it been possible I would have done exactly that.

The sports seats are great, but they are not "wife" friendly. And then you go down the slippery slope, if you want the sports seats and don't care about the wife's reaction, then you also need a stiffer suspension and more robust engine and transmission, etc; pretty soon you need a GT car to go along with those fantastic seats.. hence the C4S cars sit because the market has been narrowed to the specific few!

But, if you can make it work for you, given the power and heated adaptability issues, then it is a fantastic deal, I settled on a C2S instead... if I lived in snow country I'd have one at the current price in spite of the above compromises.
