SportAuto tested a GTR in standard conditions with standard set-up on the 'Ring. Were aboe to achieve a 7min 38sec time. This is NOT the oiginal "marketing fluff" numbre of 7mins 26secs, but is still a very impressive time. Article at the below link, although it is in German.

Observations they make are that the transmission/transaxle set-up and four wheel drive control and distribution of power are staggering, which are prob the key drivers of how such a heavy car can achieve this kind of time around the 'Ring..
