Anyone notice that the 05-08 997 do not have a shield around the exhaust pipes. All the other P cars have it, 987 997TT, GT3.
I noticed that the new 09 997 has a shield around the pipes.

The new 09 rear valance looks the same except for the tail light cut outs.
Will this shield fit the older 997?

Perhaps, but why? Just for the look? The shield is purely ornamental. The design of the exhaust pipes these days is such that their outer surfaces are very cool,--cool air flows by them constantly.
