Default Tire pressure for 18's on 997.2

Hi Guys,

Took a little break from the forum to go out and starting putting a few miles on the new car.

I am currently riding on 36/ 44. What do people recommend for stock 18's on the 09 911?

Thanks!

Recommended is 34/39 under partial load. 36/44 to bouncy under partial load, ok if full capacity.

The dealer set our car at 36/44 when we picked it up.....ride was OK--but the TPMS said the pressures were +7 on the rears. I read the manual and what gray911 says is correct--34/39 for partial load. That is what we have it set for now and all is well.

Welcome back and glad to hear you are enjoying your new ride! For the others, just something I've noticed... The TPMS in the 09 is dead-on accurate and fast. When it says 33/39 on my 19s, it really is 33/39. Of course temperature will change PSI, so I don't sweat it when the numbers are high or low cold. For example (I'm making up the numbers), if I set to 33/39 at 70 degrees, it might read 1-2 PSI low if it's only 60, or 1-2 high if it's 80. So, I guess set and forget at whatever your "average" temperature is.

Our roads here in CT are rough enough, so I always shoot for the recommended light-load cold pressures.
