Default FREE! PCM 3.0 v1.4 update CD

Just send me a PM with your address and I'll send you the CD. In the spirit of rennlist, the only condition is that you pass it along to another rennlister free as well.

If anyone just wants to run the update, I am in Orange County, California. Takes 15 minutes--just put the disc in the CD player in your dash and let it go. Obviously, use at your own risk. Worked perfectly in our new 997.2.

Do you know if the update will work for the 997.1 v.1.2 PCM?

I just got it today. I'll pass it along to NA011 after I'm done. Thanks civerson4.

So it's a CD-based update? That's interesting.

My dealership said they'd update my nav whenever I bring it in for service at no charge. I might need to test that out, otherwise I'll get in line for the update here.

Thanks for the offer!

I talked to my service guy yesterday - he said they'd check into it next time I'm in for a few mods I want. But his main advice - "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". A wise computer adage.

I guess everyone who has done this so far has seen no issues?

I had absolutely no issues. It fixes a few minor bugs...there was a thread earlier about what this updates....but search seems to be failing me now.

the v 1.4 is the latest software for 3.0 ,your dealer will update it if you want or need to solve problems. it may or may not fix some issues plus update nav maps etc

Sorry guys, this is a 2.5 year old thread that was resurrected. I don't have the update CD anymore. Sorry.
