width of seats

I do not know the measurements of the regular and adaptive sports seats, but I have the regular seats in my 997S coupe and recently have been considering a trade for a 997S with the adaptive sport seats. The regular seats seem to me to be wider than the adaptive seats. One reason could be that the regular seats are flatter, while the adaptive seats have a more pronounced bolster on seats and sides. Even in the most "relaxed" position for the adaptive seats, the bolster is still there, and to me makes the seat feel narrower. That is good news if you are fairly small and can fit, but for me the adaptive seats are a little tight. I am 6'1" and about 200.

The adaptives are definitely more constricting in the 'seat.' Perhaps this is why they are abbreviated A.S.S..
I had the regular power seats in my old C4S and they were very comfy. I have to admit that the *** took me a little while to get used to but now I love them. If you're a bit plump in the seat or have wide shoulders, definitely test drive a car with *** before committing.
