Default 997 Locking Gas Cap/Door

When I was at the local dealer, it appeared that the gas cap/door is unlockable/unsecured. Is this accurate? Is it tied into central locking system? Dealer didn't know!!! If it is unsecured, does anybody know of a high quality locking gas cap for the 997? Preferably not a $12 Stant POS.

I found that one out a few months ago when I tried to be a little "safer" at the gas station and lock the car while pumping gas. I got out, locked the car, and then spent a couple minutes trying to figure out how the lid got frozen shut. Then I unlocked the car and marveled at how easy it was to raise the gas lid. (blush)

Porsche started doing this many years ago when gasoline was getting stolen out of their tanks in the 1960s.

I also learned there are headlight washers, too. Don't know when I would ever use them, except in my next off-road rally race.

You probably get more use out of the fire extinguisher.
