Seemed he didn't like the idea of the PDK over a six speed manual in a Porsche - until you get to the summation, where he endorses it with "deal me in." I'm confused.

Had me scratching my head as well...especially when the author (Jerry Garrett) had a tough time dealing with PDK upshifting the tranny to 5th at just 29mph.

Put in the context of his past terrifying moments such as spinning out a 911 on an icy road, the author concludes that driver aids such as PDK, PSM and PASM are well worth the loss of driver involvement.

I guess it comes down to the fact that he can see the logic of having a wii-shifter, but prefers stick.
