Default PCM Malfunction

My PCM (2007 C4S) seems to have a mind of it's own. Right now the PCM display in the speedometer face reads "Navigation" and moving the steering wheel stalk for the PCM does nothing. It is supposed to switch between functions. Also, the "audio" screen in the dashboard screen doesn't change the radio stations when I push the number button.
Any ideas??

On your home computer you would unplug and reboot. With your car you can disconnect the battery, wait a bit , and reconnect. Never having done this I leave it to those who have, or the dealer, to advise you. Be advised this will affect all engine and suspension management systems as well as PCM. Not to be undertaken lightly.

Earlier versions have reacted positively to just shutting off the ignition, restarting, trying same with the pcm on and/or off....in other words, trying variations on a reboot without going to the drastic step of disconnecting the battery.

Failing that, I believe the dealer's computer is able to read out fault codes on the PCM.

But I have been wrong before.....

The PCM is really no different that any computer. Reboot and try again. If it continues then get professional help! You can also pull the fuse on it.

Disconnecting the battery did reset it so all is well with the PCM. The dealer did discover a bad steering wheel stalk that was causing erratic behavior of the OBD. Parts on order. All is getting well again.
