Default New Member/Owner….Open thank you letter to YOU

I had been trolling online for months looking for my first Porsche and it seemed about the right time to pull the trigger. So I stopped by my local Porsche Dealer about a mile from my house (outside Cleveland) and met up with Chris (better known as Likemystoppie?).

When I asked him about good online communities he of course said Rennlist is the best. I have spent many many hours since reading past threads and you have all taught me so much.

Chris continued to assist my search even from other dealers. I always felt as if he was shooting straight, even if it did not help him make a sale. Eventually (2 weeks ago) I took a 2006 Carrera 4 Cab Midnight Blue off his hands. I can not say enough about the North Olmsted sales team: really treated me like all customers should be treated.

I owe so many people here thanks for sharing your knowledge allowing me to make an educated purchase and giving me the confidence to try out some of the early projects below.

I also purchased a membership to help support this great community!

Nice job Chris, and welcome to the zoo, Beck. Enjoy the ride. Keep the shiny side up.

And if you don't post pics shortly, Tim will ban you.

Oh, and feel free to step into my office for any other goodies Chris did not provide.

Congratulations. Cabs are great and midnight blue is a fantastic color. What did you use to remove the scratches on your lenses?

Welcome aboard! We can never have too many blue cabriolets! I joined for the same reasons,--there is a lot to learn here and the Rennlist forum aligns well with me. While there are a myriad of other forums out there, many (as you will learn) cater to a different focus. Another pretty good one is teamspeed.com for those rare times when Rennlist is down.

Eric, Chris mentioned you a few times and I may be looking to do business soon (specially when, not if, N. Olmsted's finest pull me over for no front plate).

As far as pictures go, sorry as you can see below she is in heavy need of polishing and not yet presentable

Nice story there. Sounds like a great experience.
How about a pic of that car. Including the rear!

Thank You very very much Jonathan! Holy crap you obsessive compulsive freak!! look at that wheel and indicator light!!

I love it!! - I hate to say I told ya so, but "I told ya so! I knew it (her, the CAR) bring out the Mr. Fix it in ya!"

I saw you cruising thru Crocker Park just before I left for vacation; but i was driving too fast to honk, caught ya out of the corner of my eye....

Chad said he saw you the other day as well. Glad to see she's in great hands!

- Now go spend some ponies with Eric!!
