I'm a huge Guards/Tan fan, and both my Porsches from the past 10 years were that configuration. Silver/Black is prevalent everywhere, get what you want.

I drooled over a triple black cab not long ago, then realized that if I were driving it down the road, and a Guards beast was running the other way, I'd be regretting my decision in a heartbeat.

Love Guards Red....just do it!

Here lies my dilemma. I was all set to buy a guard red C4S in black full interior leather with deviating stitching but without multifunction steering wheel. Then I found a black C4S in black full interior leather with interior carbon package, and with multifunction steering wheel. I love the guard red, was willing to overlook the MF steering wheel since I am planning to install the voice control. My question to you guys is, am I crazy to let a steering wheel decide which car I buy? And will voice control do everything the MF steering wheel can do? I do love the red but it screams mid-life crisis( I am 41)

I know everybody knows this but...(from http://www.comparisonmarket.com). i only post this since i don't have a white car

Color and Personality
In the United Kingdom, research suggested that the color of your car says something about your personality type. And accordingly, based on your personality type, your likeliness to be involved in an accident (in the U.K. at least). That research showed that black cars are twice as likely to be involved in crashes as cream-color cars. Whether this is true in the United States is unclear.

Just for fun, here is what the research implied about certain car colors (listed in order of most dangerous to least)1.

•Black cars denote an aggressive personality or someone who's an outsider or rebel.
•Silver cars indicate someone who's cool, calm and slightly aloof.
•Green cars can often be chosen by people with hysterical tendencies.
•Yellow cars signify someone who is idealistic and novelty loving.
•Blue cars are chosen by the more introspective, reflective and cautious driver.
•Gray cars represent those who are calm, sober and dedicated to their work.
•Red cars denote those who are full of zest, energy and drive and who think, move and talk quickly.
•Pink cars are chosen by gentle, loving and affectionate drivers.
•White cars represent status-seeking extrovert drivers.
•Cream cars are the least likely to be involved in accidents and denote self-contained and controlled owners.

Color And Your Premium - Any Relation?
What about the car insurance rates question? Does your auto insurance company use color to determine your premium? The answer is…no.

Mid-life crisis at 41? You don't plan to hang around very long.

I am a little early for mid-life crisis but getting a red car would make other think so.

A red Corvette screams mid-life and personal crisis. A red Porsche is just beautiful, buy it.

GR is the best.

I like the tan interior but would like the black dash myself.

My GT3 is GR/Black and I love it.

Porsches deserve fun, exciting colors.

GR is classically beautiful. It's what I'd have bought if others (wife/daughter) didn't tell me that after 18 years in red cars it was time for a change. Tan was really, really hard to keep clean and became tired looking despite my best efforts to maintain it in my other car. As to the MF steering wheel v. color - Eric (Bumper Plugs) is spot on. Just ask yourself (as you look down at the MF wheel) whether or not you'd regret not getting GR if you saw one passing you. Agonize for a while but the real answer is whatever your gut tells you.

My previous 993 was Guards Red w/ Cashmere Beige. I decided to get Guards Red w/ Sand because after much debate w/ myself, I decided this was the color combo I liked the best. I don't notice any glare that there may be from the dash any more. I am not experiencing any problems with keeping the interior clean either.

Contrary to a previous post, I had no problems when I sold my 993. I had somewhere around 15 independent people that wanted to buy it and had no problems getting my asking price. That was 2 years ago.
