Club coupe 997? any owners here....
I remember seeing some sort of limited edition 997 with X51? Was light blue colored 997, think called club coupe? Have not seen anything about these cars anywhere lately. Do they carry a premium when for sale, that is if they can even be found for sale? Curious if anyone has one here?...... Curious if any came in C4s with an aero package....this would be a truly unique OEM Porsche IMO. As is still unique but just curious if any went out with such trim/models...

#13 here, new car price was $99,991 plus options. Here's the links that describe the club coupes, and a few pictures.

They come up for sale periodically. They were a bargain in that the X51 (381 PS) essentially came for free! Never produced in anything other than a Carrera S,--no AWD or Targa.

Pristine car--no mods and no track. Awesome car.
I know of a couple club coupes in this area that have seen a good bit of Watkins Glen and AX. Apparently no worse for the wear. I'm lucky enough to have a 993 to flog at the track.

Interesting reading - thanks for the links. For some reason I didn't equate the "club" part of the designation as referring to PCA so that clears that up for me. The reviewer must not be too familiar with 911's -
"Open what normally would be the trunk on a conventional 911 and youll spot the large-displacement H-6, complete with new carbon fiber air cleaner housing. Underneath, a whole host of modifications..."

#6 (with aero package) has been sitting under a plastic bubble in an automotive showroom since purchase; still with the original 6 delivery miles. Just by chance #6 was the owner's race car number. I don't know how he's managed to keep from driving it all this time, but otherwise he seems quite rational.
