19" Turbo Wheel or 19" Carrera Sport Wheel?
Sold my 1996 993 Coupe and getting ready to place an order for a new '09 Carrera S, Carrara White w/Black interior. Like the Turbo wheel option, 19"X 8with 235/35ZR19 tires on front and 19"X 11 with 295/30ZR19 tires on rear.
However, I looked into the 19" Carrara Sport wheel and it has different dimensions-19"X 8.5" with 235/35ZR19 tires on front and 19"X 11.5 with 305/30ZR19 on rear. Carrera Sport Wheel has 10 spokes painted in GT Silver and polished rim. Both front and rear rims appear to be bigger in size and rear tires are wider than the Turbo wheel option.
Having a tough time deciding on which one to order. Both look great on the white 997S. Any thoughts would be appreciated

I think it's mainly a question of personal preference. I seriously doubt the difference in the widths of the rears would ever make a noticeable difference in handling or ride except perhaps at limits you are unlikely to experience.
Both your choices are very nice wheels to my eye, but again personal preferences involved.

TT wheels are forged, Carrera Sport are cast.
If you want a wider tire on the rear, the TT wheel can accomodate the 305/30.

As others have said the cast versus forged and the appearence of the wheels are main differences. It is really a personal preference on the look of the wheel. To be honest, I have never cared for the look of the Turbo wheels, but really like the Carrera Sport wheels. The GT Silver would look great with the Carrara White, which would be my choice.

The Carrera Sports installed on my 08 C4S came with 17mm spacers on the rear. It provides a wider look from the rear.
When you order the Carrera Sports, they also come with the colored Porsche center caps included in the up-charge.

One of the more popular wheels has become the Carrera Sport (XRR), It's the widest wheel available for a 911 since the 911 was introduced in 1963. You know the dimensions. With ceramic brakes they are not hard to clean. Some have theirs painted black to show less brake dust. While they are cast wheels (made in Germany by someone other than BBS) the weight issue is more an issue of which tires you ride on. All these wheels and tires weigh a lot, compared to 20 years ago.
Porsche Factory Carrera Sport - 106 lbs, 12 oz.
8.5x19" 24 lbs. 2 oz.
11.5x19" 29 lbs. 4 oz.
Forged Turbo Wheels - 102 lbs, 12 ozs.
8.5x19" 23 lbs. 8 oz
11x19" 27 lbs. 14 oz.
Finally, if you ever decide to change wheels, you will get more in trade in on the Carrera Sports than others as they have grown to be quite in demand.

I have had both of these wheels. I had the Sports on my 06 and the Turbo's on my 07. They both are really nice but I kind of liked the Sports better but my wife and my neighbor liked the Turbo's...all personal preference. I would not be concerned with the slight weight difference or the width difference between these wheels. They fit the stock tires perfectly...I even ran 305's on the rear of the Turbo wheels.
