Default PASM Sport option spring rates

Just got my new 997 C2S with PDK and all performance options. I chose the "PASM Sport Suspension" which is listed as follows:

P17 PASM Sports Suspension Package 950.00

Listed in configurator as:

"Electronically variable active damping system with two manually selectable modes and limited slip rear differential lock. Ride height lowered by 20 mm."

It lowers the car an addition 10mm for a total of 20mm from the stock C2. A main attraction was the limited slip.

This car is a VERY sharp knife - handling is unbelieveable (this is my 4th Porsche).

The ride is also very firm and I'm wondering if anyone knows if the spring ates are different from the regular S springs - in addition to being 10mm shorter.

Thanks

Thanks - that's what I was looking for. Significantly stiffer at the rear - from 46nm to 95 at the progressive rate (twice as firm!), and about 10% in the front.

Actually, since the S has regular PASM as standard equipment, shouldn't the comparison for the rear be 60 for PASM versus 65/95 progressive for the Sport PASM?

I agree, that ^ is the correct comparison, since PASM is the stock suspension for the S.

Fair enough - so at the progressive rate about 50% more resistance, and about 10% at the base rate in the rear.

Thanks again

Exactly! I really like the Sport PASM on my 09 C2S versus the regular PASM on my old 07 C2S.
