Very Nice. I've seen the Ruby Red Cadillac before and thought the color was very close to Porsche.

It's a Harding Steel lift. http://www.hardingsteel.com/carlifts.shtml

It certainly wasn't cheap, but when we moved into our new place, 15' ceilings demanded a quality lift!! Though my wife wouldn't like it, there's actually room for a second one.

The website does a better job of describing the benefits, but it's simply a roll-on, roll-off platform that uses two hydraulic rams to lift it. Once it's up, there is a steel-on-steel cam lock system to keep from using hydraulic pressure to maintain the height. If the hydraulics fail, it's mechanically locked.

My only gripe has been with the guys who assembled it (not the vendor, but the company that did the whole garage). When they initially installed it, they didn't mate one of the vertical pieces properly. The lift got really wobbly, etc. They came back and had to reassemble the whole thing. I'm still not 100% convinced, so the vendor's going to come check it out. Again, I don't think there's anything wrong with the lift, just with the install. Harding Steel has a good warranty (5 yr structural) and a really good reputation. It's nice to be able to keep all my cars in the garage....

Thanks for looking! Here's another view:

Ashburn. If you go to Katie's Cars & Coffee on Saturday or Fair Oaks Cars & Coffee on Sunday, look for me (really, look for my car!). If you'd like to pop over and check it out after the meet, you're welcome.

This weekend might not work for me because of the Hurricane, but next weekend should...

Sure thing - send me a PM if you think you'll attend (any weekend). Hopefully the hurricane won't hit until later in the week!
