Default What should my oil pressure be?

My oil pressure seems to be running high. It idles at 1.75 to 2.5 bar when warm. Babied around town it will run 3.5 to 5 bar. On the freeway, 60-75mph, it runs between 4 and 5 bar. If I put any moderately sporting load on it, it will peg at 5 bar. I took it in to the dealer and it was running at it's low end 1.75 idle and 4 bar when free revved (of course it never acts worst when at the service department). They didn't seem too concerned but admitted that it looked a little high. Told me it was probably something wrong with the sensor and sent me home. I'm still concerned. What should I be seeing for oil pressure? Actual high oil pressure is very rare, but what would happen if it IS actually high oil pressure?

With the engine warmed up and running at speed of 5000 rpm, the engine oil pressure should be approx. 3.5 bar.

Directly from the manual.

Yeah, i looked at the manual. Mine said 4000 rpm (at least i thought it did). That's why i brought it in to the dealer. But, the manual doesn't suggest engine load, just rpm so I was wondering what other people are seeing. It is a 2006 C2S. I just bought it so I don't know if this is normal for the car or not. It was serviced 3000 miles ago. I missed this upon pre-purchase inspection.

What I cited is directly from the manual. It should normally be fairly high as a fairly new car.

My 2006 CS has the exact same oil pressure. Dealer claims nothing to worry about. My car just turned 12K miles
