Default Brembo Floating Rotors all around for 997S

Just received an email that said Brembo now makes a direct replacement 2-piece floating front and rear rotors for the 997S brakes. Buyer choice of slotted or drilled. Quote was for $1800 for all 4, which feels reasonable. Suggestion was that these are produced and sold under the "racing" division. Anyone else have any information?

Slotted all the way around? 1 piece or floating? Probably 1 piece for that price.

That's what got me thinking this was too good to be true. It's a known supplier, and I asked if they had a Front AND Rear set for the 997S and he came back with $1800 for the set and I choose slotted or drilled. I know there's a motorsport Brembo direct replacement and I thought that ran about $1800 just for the fronts.

$1800 sounds like a great price - less than $500/rotor? If you get clarification, let us know, Ron. Thanks!

I did a search on the Brembo site and found this (not sure if this is the right part for the 997S) Perhaps that price was for Rotors only, not the caps or hardware.

hummmm...no way that price you were quoted was for complete rotors ready to be bolted on. That is for just the rotors and not the hats and hardware.

I know what you mean, that's why I was so amazed. But I asked straight-out for fronts and rears, 2-piece floating, and that's what came back... This was a follow up to an email a year earlier asking for rotors and the response was "fronts only" back then. I inquired again and said "last time it was fronts only, I really want fronts and rears" and the answer was "Brembo now makes them..." Attempting to get clarification.

Ron Brembo had these at the GMG open house..they are a thing of beauty.

Don't have any more info than this..

I remember he told me a price but it wasn't $1800, it was more than that. He did mention though you save in the long run as you don't have to buy the hat anymore just the rotor part of it. They are floating hubs.

Ron it is around $650 to replace the stock from and rears.

Are you getting these for the new car?
