Another SSK review..
Just got my car back from the dealership, SSK equipped now (Porsche OEM). Wow. Feels awesome. To quote another Rennlister, "I laughed all the way home" from the dealership. The term "bolt-action" definitely applies. Love the 1-2 action. This really should have been standard from the get-go!
Interestingly enough, I didn't notice any difficulty in getting into gear as I have read. I figured that since the car was finished around noon and I picked it up 6 hrs later (engine temp was cold), I would have some trouble at first engaging the gears. Nope. Smoooooth. This is Houston, though, and we are at low 50's right now. Will try her out tomorrow after a night's slumber in the garage.

According to many on this board, your shifter is not operating normally. It should not be smooth and should be notchy, especially between 1st and 2nd.
I suggest you bring it back in and have it readjusted.

Follow-up: Did an morning drive, second gear was tough, but only if I was attempting a downshift (heel toe). No issues from 1-2 (still my favorite!
). Went away after a couple of miles. I don't seem to be experiencing the the complaints I've read about, but I am not complaining!
