Mine came from Carrera in Bend, OR. Didn't yours come from Bellingham?

Nice shot, and awesome car. Congrats to you as well!

Hello Porscheman --

Yes indeed, they are Lloyds. I had them in my previous car, and liked them, so I ordered them again for this car.

"DFI" stands for "Direct Fuel Injection". It makes for a much more efficient delivery of fuel into the cylinder, and therefor substantial improvement of both power, and fuel consumption. An additional side benefit is the motor is more responsive as well. A great technology.

The sun is out and the temp has gone back into the 70's "South Texas Winter" I decided to play with the camera and this is one I took. 2009 Carrera S in Artic silver and an '83 much modified 911 Sc in primarily Gran Prix white. Camera is a Canon EOS 5D and the lens a Canon EF 24-70 MM F 2.6 Taken at F3.5 and 1/2000 ISO 100

Talking My '06 is suddenly feeling so...old.

Man! Obama's not even sworn-in yet and already the economy has turned around.
This can only mean good things for 2009 and beyond!

Congrats Micheal.

Love the Aqua blue color. I got the exact interior color combo in my club coupe.

Michael,

That's one of the greatest colours I've seen on a car

They had a similar colour on the upgraded XC90 "Ocean" version (we've got a silver one as the family wagon) and I almost traded it in a year ago just for that reason! Having the dealer explain how much our current car had devalued in 3 years quickly changed our minds though

Hopefully, I'll be getting my Carrera next week (it's a 2005 model so won't be as shiny as the cars here) but I'm really looking forward to it. I was shopping for a C4S (996) at first when this (silver) one popped into the frame at the right price I started a thread on the 996 forum about it but even they recommended I pursue a base 997 (albeit with many great options) over the 2004 C4S I was looking at since even here in Switzerland, I don't really NEED an AWD (with the added weight, maintenance, etc.) ...

I'll post pics when it finally arrives

Thanks Michael. I should have known that having read about the Gen 2's fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

It felt like we were there with you...and each of your fellow P-Car owners could relate to the feelings you must have been experiencing! Thanks for sharing with us...and, just try not to grin ear-to-ear each time walk up to your car, drive it, or hear the sound YOU are making with YOUR engine (not hearing someone else's). Not smiling will be impossible--so, just learn to relish it!

Enjoy...

I was refering to SPIF's posted image (I quoted the message in my post):

Isn't that the same delivery trailer as brought mine?
